Boyy Friennd Malayalam Movie

Nandini (Lakshmi Gopalaswami) is a government servant. Her son Remeshan, (played by new face Manikuttan who debuted in the tele-serial Kayamkulam Kochunni) plays the lead role as a student in an Engineering college. Budding Telugu actress Madhumita, who migrated to Tamil after three films in her mother tongue, makes her debut role in Malayalam cinema as Manikuttan's heart throb. Fr. Kacharathara (Lalu Alex) is the Principal of the college. Mammu Koya plays Khader Das, the college peon who is an ardent fan of Jesudas, prompting him to adopt the suffix Das to his name. Nateshan (Mukesh) is the Home Minister. 'Idiyan' Kartha (Sreenivasan) plays the role of the City Police Commissioner.

Home Minister Nateshan tries to molest Nandini the government servant, who files a criminal case against him (a throw-back on the Neelalohidadasan vs. Nalini Netto case?). In the mean time her son Manikuttan becomes the college champion and is scheduled to receive the trophy from the Chief Minister. As chance would have it, it is the Home Minister who turns up to give away the trophy. In the course of his speech he insults Nandini. Provoked by his words, Manikuttan assaults the minister and is arrested, but cannot be traced after that. In the mean time the minister is murdered. Commissioner Kartha takes charge of the investigation. The missing Manikuttan is framed as the culprit. Lock-up murder? Political lampoon? Social satire? From what one is able to gather so far, Boy Friend seems to have a very convoluted story line.
