'Aami', which is a biopic based on the real and literary life of Madhavikutty aka Kamala Surayya, explores the enigmatic personality of the great writer. This film succeeds in depicting her extraordinarily eventful life better than the conflicts and dilemma she had undergone in her life.

Manju warrier conquers the hearts of spectators through her presentation of Kamala Das Surayya. The emotional nuances have been presented effectively by her with remarkable ease. Special credit has to be given to her makeup man and hair stylist. Kamal has manoeuvred the script intelligently so that it does not leave any blemishes on either her or her lover. Tovino has made an interesting appearance as her conscience. The photography is class and songs soul stirring. A big clap to everyone.
