Ammakkoru Tharattu Malayalam Movie

Sreekumaran Thambi’s ‘Ammakkoru Tharattu’ raises certain pertinent questions to today’s society devoid of values and relationships. As the title, ‘Ammakkoru Tharattu’ gives prominence to the character of Mother in our life.

Madhu plays Joseph Pushpavanam, a noted poet and lyricist. Saradha does the role of Sulakshana. Joseph and Sulakshana were in love during their young age; but Sulakshana got married to another man and had three children. Sulakshana is now a widow and her three children are all grown up and lead their own life.

During their old age Joseph and Sulakshana meet again and life takes a turn there. The resulting events are plotted in ‘Ammakkoru Tharattu’.

Suraj Venjarammoodu, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Saikumar, P Sreekumar, Indrans, Mamukkoya also are part of the cast. Sreekumaran Thambi himself pens the lyrics and tunes them.
