Balu (Aju Varghese) reaches Chennai to attend an interview. He is in Chennai for the first time and is not familiar with the Tamil language. This lands him in a trouble.

In order to escape from the trap, he has to spend an amount of money which he does not have with him. Balu contacts Kishore (Indrajith), his close friend in Kerala, for help and informs everything to Kishore.

Kishore is an ad film maker who has been separated from his wife Surya (Mamta Mohandas) recently. It is at the time when Kishore and Surya plans for reconciliation that Kishore gets the phone call of Balu seeking his help.

Kishore sets aside the joining with his wife and tries to help his friend. But, though not a huge sum of money, Kishore is not able to get the amount enough to help his friend. ‘Paisa Paisa’ plots how money changes the life of the characters.

Directed by debutante Prashanth Murali, the film also casts Daniel Balaji, Kishore Satya, Rajiv Rangan, Anoop Chandran, Kathal Sandhya, and Apoorva. In the banner of Celebs and Red Carpet, ‘Paisa Paisa’ is produced by Raj Zacharias.

Rajesh Varma and Prashanth Murali script the story by the director himself. Kishore Mani is the cameraman.
