Melissa McCarthy

Melissa Ann McCarthy is an American actress, writer, producer, comedian, and fashion designer. She is a recipient of two Primetime Emmy Awards and has received nominations for an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. She began appearing in television and films in the late 1990s, and first gained nationwide recognition for her role as Sookie St. James on the television series Gilmore Girls.
