Sam Rockwell is an American actor, whose career includes many roles in film and television.
Rockwell is best known for his leading roles in Lawn Dogs, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Matchstick Men, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Moon, G-Force and Seven Psychopaths. He had supporting roles in The Green Mile, Galaxy Quest, Charlie's Angels, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Frost/Nixon, Conviction, Iron Man 2, Cowboys & Aliens and The Way, Way Back.
In 2017, his performance as a troubled police deputy in the dark comedy crime drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri won him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
