'Latha Rajinikanth is not responsible for the loans'

In the recent times, there have been reports linking Latha Rajinikanth to the Kochadaiiyaan loan issues. Dr Murali Manohar of Media One Global Entertainment met the press and clarified the issue.

He says, “We are a public limited company and we have been in the business of production, distribution and exhibition for the last 10 years. We have made films for international audience and in Tamil we had produced Minnalae, Jeans and Dhaam Dhoom”.

“When we made Kochadaiiyaan, we had faced a few financial issues. Media One Entertainment borrowed 20 crores within the legal limits from Exim Bank. And Latha Rajinikanth came to our rescue signing as guarantor for the loan. And so her name should not be involved in this issue. We are in the process of returning the loan”.
