'Ajith does not want to take money from people' S Ve Shekhar

Recently, fraternity from film industry went to Malaysia, did a Natchathira Thiruvizha to collect funds to construct the building for Nadigar Sangam. This has received a lot of flak from the Malaysian people who apparently carried articles criticizing this act of Kollywood.

At this juncture, S Ve Shekar has submitted his resignation as a Trustee from the Nadigar Sangam and has sent his resignation letter to President Nasser. He had also mentioned in the letter that there were many malpractices done towards the coordination of Natchathira Thiruvizha.

He mentions, “Nadigar Sangam does not give the same respect that is being given to Rajini and Kamal, to other artists. When Nadigar Sangam approached Ajith to partake in the event, he had expressed his desire not to attend and had also mentioned that he was not in agreement with the idea of taking money from the audience for construction of the building. He said that if all the artists share some money from their earning, they can complete the task”.
