Will Kaththi release as per plan?

Kaththi directed by A R Murugadoss seems to be completely mired in controversies. The film is produced by Lyca Productions which according to protestors who are against the film’s release, is an outfit that is closely associated with Srilankan President Mahindra Rajapakse.

Earlier, hero Vijay, director Murugadoss and Lyca productions convened a meet to dispense away all the information about the production team that they have nothing to do with Mahindra Rajapakse.

But it looks like the protestors are not convinced and have filed a case against the film asking for a ban. However, the Madurai branch of Chennai High Court dismissed the petition and said that once the censoring of a film is done, he cannot ban it and that no further case against the film will be entertained. The protestors have apparently said that they have no problem against Murugadoss or Vijay and if they release, they would not interfere but if Lyca Productions release the film, they will not let the release happen.
