What is Lingaa all about?

Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa directed by K S Ravikumar is nearing completion. Rajini wanting to complete the work fast is said to be dubbing for his portions day and night. There have been talks that the audio of the film may be released on the birthday of the superstar which falls on the 12th of December. The film as such may be out for Pongal 2015.

Rajini plays dual roles in the film which is about a dam. Sonakshi Sinha plays the love interest of Rajini in the pre-independence segment and Anushka Shetty will pair up with the modern Rajini. The unit is presently shooting a duet song involving Sonakshi and Rajini.

The film is said to be about a dam that was built by Rajini. But due to unknown reasons, there are so many untoward incidents in the area which make the people think that they are due to the lack of respect given to Rajini. But the present day Rajini unravels all the mysteries surrounding the incidents and bring the perpetrators of the crime to book.
