What! Did Deepika Padukone just turned down SRK's next?

One Shah Rukh Khan film that has been in the news ever since it has been announced is Aanand L Rai’s next, wherein the ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood will be seen playing the role of a dwarf.

It was recently reported that Aanand L Rai had approached the pretty ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ actress to play the lead opposite SRK. Deepika and Shah Rukh have given three super hit films in the past — ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Om Shaanti Om’ and ‘Happy New Year.’

However, Deepika Padukone had to turn down the offer despite being extremely keen on once again sharing screen space with the king Khan due to her prior commitment to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati.’

A source close to the development of the film, revealed the real reason to a daily, “While Deepika was quite keen on doing the film, unfortunately, her dates were clashing with those allotted to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmavati.’ Since she has already committed her dates to SLB's historical, she has had to say no to Aanand L Rai.”

Reportedly, Shah Rukh has already begun prepping for the film, which is supposed to hit the screens sometime next year.
