VZ Durai talks about Yemali

VZ Durai who is known for films like 6 candles, returns after a gap, with a bold film that is said to be about an advocate’s live-in relationship titled Yemaali. The film features newcomer hero Sam Jones and Samuthirakani in lead roles. Athulya Ravi plays opposite Sam, Bengaluru-based Roshini acts as Kani's pair.

The filmmaker, explains that Yemail is an experimental film. He adds, “I can call it a new effort and first-ever attempt in Tamil cinema. It's a four-layered script, unfolding one after the other. Samuthirakani and Sam appear in all the layers and both characters have many dimensions to them. For Samuthirakani this will be a new role. Athulya plays an ultra-modern girl and her character has been designed like that”.
