Vishnu Vishal opts out of Pon Ondru Kandein

Pon Ondru Kandein is the name of the film which is he Tamil remake of the Telugu film Pelli Choopulu. Director Gautham Menon had bought the Tamil remake rights and is bankrolling it under his banner Ondraga Entertainment. Sendhil Veerasamy is directing the flick and Vishnu Vishal and Tamannah had been announced as the lead pair.

However, Vishnu Vishal took to his social media page to announce that he is opting out of the film. He tweeted, “i hav opted out of POK.. :) dates issues caz of delay in project..” and then followed it up with “Hi guys..lots of questions being asked abt #POK..i hav opted out of #PonOndruKandein..cudn accomodate my dates caz of delay in project..wud hav luvd to do it... GOOD NEWS : Hav started shooting for Dir Ezhil sir mov under @dusshyanth ESHAN banner...title soon:)”.

Later he had stated that there was no clarity on the project and his dates were being wasted. He states, “They had mentioned two-three dates, but the shooting didn't start on those dates. Since there was no clarity about the project and its shooting, I had to opt out. It is a sweet film and I haven't done any romcoms like this. But I have always had some clarity on the films I have been doing and the genres that I have been choosing.
