Vikram's film with Anand Shankar named Maarechan

Vikram will be doing two films simultaneously, one with director Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame and the other with director Thiru.

The Anand Shankar project is said to be a stylish commercial that would be shot in Malaysia. The film would have Nayanthara and Nithya Menen as the lady leads. It is reported that the film is titled Maarechan, going by the name of the golden deer which Sita wanted to have which made Rama go behind it that led to Ravana kidnapping Sita in the legendary Ramayana. One is not sure if the character of Maarechan would have any relevance with the story of the film.

Meanwhile, Thiru project with Vikram will have Kajal Agarwal as the heroine. Looks like Vikram wants to make up for all the long absence on screen by doing quick commercial films. Click the Movie button below for more info:
