Vijay's Thalaivaa in trouble

Some of the theatres in Chennai city and suburb had stopped the advance booking of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Thalaivaa since yesterday citing threats from unknown sources. The film was expecting a release on August 9.

An upset Vijay issued a press release and said that the film has nothing to do with politics. Vijay stated, “It’s a complete family entertainer with all the necessary ingredients including romance, action and comedy. It is not a political film as some miscreants claim nor is it targeting any political group or individual. Kindly do not believe these rumors."

Though a meeting of producers of the film and exhibitors took place till late evening yesterday, there is still some uncertainty over the release of the film. An official announcement regarding the film’s release is awaited. Click the Movie button below for more info:
