Vijay's Mersal gets trademarked
Aug 29, 2017 JBAn exciting development has come in the way of Mersal. According to sources in the knowhow, Mersal is the first South Indian film that would be trademarked. It has to be recalled that only recently, the film got an emoji in Twitter.
Trademarking the film’s title means that if anybody uses the term Mersal for commercial purposes, a part of their revenue should be paid to the team as royalty. Trademarking the title also ensures that there will be no more instances of people claiming that they registered the title first or the title (or part of it) belongs to them and so on.
