Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha begin 96

DoP Premkumar of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame will be wielding the directorial baton for his debut film 96 which features Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead. The film is produced by Madras Enterprises and it went on the floors yesterday, the 12th June with a Pooja.

The film’s title is reported to mean the batch of 12th class of the year 1996. Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a wildlife photographer and sport a new look.

The supporting cast of 96 includes Kaali Venkat and Vinodhini, while the hunt is on for other supporting actors. Music is by Malayalam composer Govind Menon. The first schedule will begin in Andaman, with additional schedules to take place in Kolkata, Rajasthan and Pondicherry.
