Vijay on board for director Venkat Prabhu's next

Actor Vijay has been roped in for director Venkat Prabhu’s next film, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68.’ Written by the director himself, the film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram under the banner of AGS Entertainment.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Vijay announced that his next feature film would be with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, who is known for films such as ‘Chennai 600028’ (2007), ‘Saroja’ (2008), ‘Goa’ (2010), ‘Mankatha’ (2011), and ‘Maanaadu’ (2021).

Vijay announced the project by sharing a 78-second clip that featured the names of major technicians of the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja will create the soundtrack for the film. The actor was last seen in the action drama film 'Varisu'.

‘Thalapathy 68’ is slated for release in 2024. The details of other cast and crew are awaited.

Vijay will next be seen in ‘Leo’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie was shot in Kashmir and features Trisha and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles. It is set for release on October 19.
