Veteran cinematographer Vincent passes away
Feb 26, 2015 JBVeteran cinematographer Vincent breathed his last yesterday, the 25th February at Chennai in a private hospital. Vincent was not keeping in good health for some time. He was 88 and is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons Jayanan and Ajayan, both cinematographers.
Vincent had directed 55 movies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and has worked as a cinematographer in 250 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films. He had teamed up with director Sridhar in Kalyana Parisu, Sumai Thaangi, Nenjil Oor Aalayam, Then Nilavu, and Kaadhalikka Neramillai to name some. Former Chief Minister Jayalalitha's 100th movie Thirumangalyam was directed by him. Brathukutheruvu (Telugu), Enga Veetu Pillai, Vasantha Maligai, Gauravam, Neela Kuyil (Malayalam) and Amar Deep (Hindi) are among movies in which he worked as cinematographer.
The mass will be held at St Joseph Church in Nungambakkam today and burial will be at the Quibble Island Cemetery here.
