Udhayanidhi Stalin begins his film with Priyadarshan

The Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram had garnered a lot of applause and it featured Fahadh Faasil. Now the film is coming to Tamil and director Priyadarshan is remaking it in Tamil with Udhaynidhi Stalin as the lead with Parvathy Nair and Namita Pramod as his co-stars.

The other casts include Samuthirakani and MS Baskar. Samuthirakani pens the dialogues of the film as well. While Ekambaram handles cinematography, music of this production is scored by Darbuka Siva.

The pooja of the film was held yesterday (10th July) and the shoot is to begin on the 19th of July. To suit the premise and story, this flick will be majorly shot in Courtallam and Thenkasi area. It has to be recalled that 'Maheshinte Prathikaram' had won 2 national awards, 5 state awards & 2 Filmfare awards to its name apart from winning several television awards as well.
