Title of Vijay's Jayalalithaa biopic announced

On the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu the late J. Jayalalithaa, the title of the film based on her life was announced. The producer of her biopic, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, revealed the title ‘Thalaivi’ on social media.

Directed by Vijay, the script of the film will be supervised by Vijayendra Prasad, writer of ‘Baahubali’. Apart from Tamil, the movie will be made in Hindi and Telugu languages. GV Prakash Kumar scores music while Nirav Shah handles cinematography. The details of the cast are under wraps.

Meanwhile, another biopic on Jayalalithaa, titled ‘The Iron Lady’, went on floors on Jaya’s birth anniversary.

Directed by A. Priyadhaarshini, the film has Nithya Menen in the titular role. ‘Iron Lady’ will hit the screens in 2020.
