Title of Rajinikanth's next announced

The title of actor Rajinikanth’s upcoming film was announced on Tuesday. The film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, has been titled ‘Vettaiyan’.

Earlier, the film was tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170.’ It is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of ‘Jai Bhim’ fame. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film marks the 170th movie in the acting career of Rajinikanth, who was last seen in ‘Jailer’. The makers also released the teaser which begins with a shot of Rajinikanth reading a book on freedom fighter Subash Chandra Bose.

‘Vettaiyan’ also features Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan and GM Soundar in pivotal roles. The film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by SR Kathir.

The film will also be released in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
