The woman involved in Suriya's 'slap' case clarifies

It can be recalled that a couple of days ago, Suriya tried to help an old woman who was being harassed by two youth in a bike. Later the boys filed a case against Suriya alleging that he had slapped one of them.

But now, the woman, named Pushpa Krishaswamy had come forward to make the case clear through her tweets. In continuous tweets, the lady says, “Boys were threatening to break the glass on my car and were not letting me get back into car and close door for my safety. Boys were demanding money from me. I was alone in the big crowd facing two threatening boys. They said they would make phone calls and take action. @Suriya_offl (Suriya) Thank you for stopping your vehicle and insisting that the boys not touch a woman. Your intervention was timely.”

Suriya also thanked her for her gesture. Later the boys had withdrawn their complaint. It looks like a clear case of trying to extract money from the celebrity.
