'The strength of Karu is Sai Pallavi', AL Vijay

Premam fame Sai Pallavi is debuting in Tamil through director AL Vijay’s Karu which is ready to hit the screens soon. During a promotional meet held in the city, director AL Vijay elaborates on why he offered the role to the actress.

He says, “Karu is an important film in my career. The knot was there in my mind for a very long time. When I discussed with Lyca, they were very keen to make this film and said would wait till whenever I was ready. At a time when Sai Pallavi was turning down many films, I felt she is apt for the lead and approached her. She initially did not accept, but later when I narrated entire script, she realised the significance of her role and intensity of the subject and she agreed. The strength of the movie is Sai Pallavi.”

He elaborates, “Like how I introduced Amy Jackson in Madarasapattinam, Baby Sarah in Deiva Thirumagal, here in Karu I am launching a child named Veronica besides Sai Pallavi. Editor Antony will also be seen in a guest role” Click the Movie button below for more info:
