Arya needs a hit very badly as his last few films have not been doing very well. His last release Bangalore Naatkal, a remake of the Malayalam hit Bangalore Days was met with mixed response.
He has now signed a film to be directed by Manja Pai fame Raghavan and this film will be produced by Super Good Films RB Chaudhery, Jiiva’s dad. Catherine Tresa is the heroine and Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director.
This film was said to be titled as Thanikattu Raja, a title of Superstar Rajinikanth film of yesteryear. But the official statement reveals that the film is yet to be titled and it is definitely not Thanikattu Raja. The shoot is expected to begin from the 10th March in a place called Thaandukudi near Dindigul where the unit has rented out a 100 acre plot for shooting purposes.
