Thamizhan director Majid teams up with Sadha

Sadha who shot to fame with Jayam, Anniyan and the likes was last seen in Vadivelu's Eli. She has teamed with Thamizhan director Majith for an intense film, titled 'Torch Light’ that talks about the plight of sex workers.

Majith, who made his directorial debut through Vijay's Thamizhan was quoted as saying, "Sadha was all teary-eyed after hearing the script of Torch Light for the first time. I also showed her footages of women who were into prostitution previously. Torch Light will definitely be a turning point in Sadha's career. I am confident that this film will leave an impact on society."

Torch Light will enlighten the dark unknown side of sex workers, and the story is said to take place in the 90s backdrop. Some real-life incidents will apparently be shown in the film, to make it a more impactful experience. Sadha will reportedly play a sex worker in the film, and alongside her, Kabali fame Rythvika is said to essay an important role with Sujatha Ranganathan, and director Venkatesh.
