Actor Taylor Kitsch, long-rumoured to be a part of the second season of acclaimed drama 'True Detective', has finally confirmed his participation in the show.

“I’m really excited. I’ve just been prepping,” he said. “It’s been almost a full year since I’ve been on camera, so I’m itching, man. I’m overdue.

"I’m excited. I loved that first season of it so much. It’s just unlike anything I’ve seen in, you know, I don’t know when. And it was so grounded. It could really happen. This is very similar, and I love that. It makes it more relatable. It makes these guys more real,” he added.

Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn are starring in the series' second season, with Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Scorpion) directing the first two of an eight-episode season. The season will center on two police officers and a career criminal who dig into a conspiracy following a murder.
