Chennaiyil Oru Naal, the Tamil remake of Malayalam hit film Traffic, has got good reception from critics and it is doing well at the box office. Recently, Superstar Rajinikanth saw the film and appreciated the team. Rajinikanth has written a letter which states, " We don't realise the importance of our body parts after death. Instead of wasting these parts, if we choose to donate them, then it might very likely save a life. Chennayil Oru Naal strongly projects the necessity of organ donation and I really liked it. I wish all the success for the film".
The film is inspired by a real-life incident and the story revolves around how the heart of a donor is transported to save a life within 90 minutes. Debutant Shaheed Khader has directed the film. Sharath Kumar, Radhikaa, Prasanna, Iniya, Jayaprakash, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Mano Bala, Prakash Raj, Cheran have acted in the film. Surya has done a special appearance in the movie.
