Simbu has been acting in Vaalu directed by Vijay Chander. The film has Hansika and Santhanam in the lead and has been in the making for sometime.
However, for the past two days, a newspaper advertisement of a film starring Akhil has been getting published with the same title as Vaalu. Actor Akhil who made his debut with Kallori is the hero of the film, Vaalu and is being directed by Dhesika. Pranav Productions produces the film. Akhil's Vaalu has music by Selvaganesh of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu fame and Vairamuthu has written the lyrics.
Now there are two films with the same title- Simbu’s Vaalu and Akhil’s Vaalu. This new development has created a lot of buzz in the industry.
