Kamal Haasan has announced that he will release his Vishwaroopam first in the theatres on Jan 25. However, the date of DTH release is yet to be announced.
Meantime, the actor has filed a complaint with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) against some of the theatre associations for allegedly restricting the release of his film. Kamal’s production house, Rajkamal Films International, has approached the CCI and an official has acknowledged that they have received a complaint from Kamal.
Earlier Ajay Devgn had filed a complaint with the CCI against Yash Raj films during the release of his Son of Sardar. But the complaint was turned down by the CCI saying that there was no violation of the competition law.
