HC notice to Kadal director

Madras High Court has issued a notice to Mani Ratnam and the censor board officials in connection with Kadal. Recently a petitioner had appealed to the Madras High Court and has asked to cancel the censor board certificate of Kadal. He has said that it hurt the Christian sentiments. After hearing the arguments, the court has issued a notice to Mani Ratnam and the censor board officials asking them for a proper reply.

Mani Ratnam’s Kadal starred Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair in the lead. Arvind Swamy and Arjun also did significant roles in the film. The film’s music was by AR Rahman. The film is about the lives of fishermen and the story has Biblical reference. It is about good winning over evil and how people fall prey to the evil-doer.
