After Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam irked some religious groups, now Gouravam, produced by actor Prakash Raj is in trouble.Certain sections of people after watching the trailer of the film are now of the concern that the film is based on the communal violence that erupted after an inter-caste marriage in Dharmapuri. The president of the Kongu Vellala Goudnargal Peravai, Mr R Manikandan has stated that after watching the trailer of the film, he is worried that the movie will disrupt the communal harmony among different caste groups. He also alleged that the film portrays about 60 different groups of community as those support Honour Killings. Citing the above reasons, Manikandan now wants to stay the release of the film.
However, director Radha Mohan has said that his film is not based on the Dharmapuri incident, but it takes a praiseworthy stand against Honour Killings. He has also added that his film was almost over, when the Dharmapuri incident took place in November, 2012.
Gouravam is the debut movie of Allu Sirish, nephew of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Ace director Radha Mohan has directed it and Prakash Raj has acted in the film and
