T Rajendar sings for Koothan

The multifaceted T Rajendar, who was recently in the news for insulting fellow actress Dhansika in the press meet of Vizhithiru, is in the news again. Thankfully it is for a positive reason.

Koothan, a dance-based musical film directed by Venky AL, with debutant Rajkumar in the lead, has signed on T Rajendar for the single, Monkistha Kinkistha. Balz G is the music director of the film and he says, “When we first approached TR sir for the song, he did not agree. But once he heard the tune, he was happy and told us that the tune and the lyrics are so catchy that it would be a hit irrespective of who sang it. However, I told him that if he did not sing it, we wouldn’t consider recording it with someone else.”

Balz G also adds, "The song is a kuthu number with Arabian and Latin influences. TR had a sore throat on the day of the recording and still sang with enthusiasm. The song also features Super Singer participants Shenbagaraj and Sajini, and has been written by Rokesh, who wrote the chartbuster Dangamari”. Click the Movie button below for more info:
