Suriya explains why he produced Pasanga 2

Pasanga 2 was first titled as Haiku and later it got changed to the present name. The film is directed by Pandiraj and produced by Suriya for his home banner 2 D Entertainment. It features Suriya, Amala Paul in cameo roles with the main roles being played by Evam Karthik, Vidya Pradeep and others. Music is scored by Arrol Corelli and cinematography is done by Balasubramaniem.

When asked why he produced this film, Suriya says, “The objective of my production house is to fund films that focus on children, their education and for their growth and betterment. My main aim to render quality films and I had heard around 50-60 stories and after which I was satisfied listening to Pandiraj’s script”.

He further added, “I would say this is director Pandiraj’s beginning. I want to go on record saying that I am glad that this film is coming through me. Pandiraj has researched for two years and had scripted beautiful scenes involving children. Children are the most beautiful creation and their world is wonderful.
