Sundar C to begin Kalakalappu 2

While Sangamithra was said to be director Sundar C’s next film, something else has emerged now from the director’s camp. It appears that the historical film would be put on hold for the time being and the director would make a quickie in the form of a sequel of his previous successful film Kalakalappu.

Ever since Shruti Haasan opted out of the project, the unit is finding it difficult to get a replacement for the titular role. And perhaps, that is the reason the director has gone in for a simple project.

Kalakalappu 2 will once again be a laugh riot and a complete entertainer. As for the cast, Jai, Jiiva, and Nikki Galrani, Catherine Tresa will be playing the lead roles. Shiva will be seen in the latter part of the film. The movie will be primarily shot in Kasi, Pune, Hyderabad and Karaikudi. Hiphop Tamizha will be composing the music for the movie which will go on floors from the first week of October. Earlier, it was speculated that Vemel and Oviya will be retained for the sequel.
