SPB breathes life into 'Kochadaiiyaan' single
Oct 7, 2013 IANSComposed by A.R. Rahman, the song opens to grand orchestra-backed blaring horns with recurring percussion. The song is highly energetic but Rahman skillfully gives it a melodic touch by introducing different instrumental portions.
SPB breathes life into the song, written by Vairamuthu. Lines such as "Unadhu vaalal oru Suriyanai undakku" (defeat the sun with your sword) and "Vetri changoli endrume oyadhe oyadhe" (the siren of victory never rests) are highly optimistic and inspiring.
The song demands multiple hearing, thanks to SPB's stimulating voice and Rahman's energetic composing.
This is the sixth time double Oscar-winning composer Rahman has composed music for Rajinikanth's film after "Muthu", "Padayappa", "Baba", "Sivaji" and "Enthiran".
