Actor/director/music composer S J Suryah was last seen in Isai which was liked by people for its sleek narration and cheeky climax. He is currently playing an important role in Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi whose shooting is also completed and the film is in its post production phase.
He was rumored to be among the top contenders to direct Vijay in his 60th film but the offer has finally gone to Bharathan. Not the one to be bogged down by disappointment, Suryah has decided on his next.
The film is titled 174 and it is reported that Suryah will be playing the role of an investigative cop in the film. The film will be directed by Manikandan, a debutant who had formerly had his training lessons in direction with Selvaraghavan. 174 will be produced by Suryah himself.
