Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt to reunite for Aanand L Rai's next?

Ever since director Aanand L Rai’s announced his next film with the King of Bollywood, where Shah Rukh Khan plays a dwarf, there have been umpteen number of speculations regarding the lucky girl who would be cast opposite SRK.

It was reported that the director had approached Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and a few others for the leading lady’s part in his yet to be titled film. However, recently a picture of Shah Rukh, Alia and Aanand L Rai went viral, leading many to believe that the ‘Dear Zindagi’ actress has been roped in for the project.

But turns out that Alia Bhatt has not yet been finalized for the film. A spokesperson from Aanand L Rai’s team clarified, “A lot of names have been thrown in but at the moment the female lead has not been finalized. The casting is underway and is taking time as it is a difficult role, in fact one of the most challenging that Aanand has ever worked on. The role needs a lot of prep time as well as shoot time for which a substantial chunk of dates are required. It’s not just about finishing this film but making it.”

Well, we really hope the ‘Dear Zindagi’ stars team up once again on the screen.
