Sasikumar breaks his arm in Thara Thappattai shooting

Director Bala is currently busy shooting his film Thara Thappattai that is about the folk arts of Tamil Nadu and features Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar. The shooting is going on in Thanjavur at a set created near a lake area.

The shooting is stopped for while now with hero Sasikumar injuring his hand during the shooting. Sources claim that the unit was shooting a very intense and violent climax scene when Sasikumar fell into a pit and broke his hand.

The unit immediately rushed him to a hospital and he was put a cast for his fractured hand. Doctors have advised him rest for fifteen days and so director Bala has given a temporary break to the shooting. Meanwhile the next schedule of the shooting is slated to happen in Andaman Islands.
