Sandakozhi 2 to begin from 31st August

Sandakozhi 2, the sequel of the film with the same name would soon begin shooting from September. The film directed by Lingusamy will feature Vishal, Keerthy Suresh as the leads and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar would be playing an important role in this sequel.

A massive set is being erected in Chennai to look like Madurai streets in a ten acre land in Binny Mills, Chennai and the unit will begin shooting from this set from the 31st of August. Art director Rajeevan is responsible for this job. A huge set resembling one of Madurai’s key localities with 500 shops and a temple, is being erected. The introduction song of the hero along with thousands of junior artistes and dancers taking part at the temple festival will be shot at a whopping cost of Rs 6 crore. Some of the talkie portions are also expected to be shot there.

Incidentally, Sandakozhi 2 is the 25th film of Vishal and is being produced by his home banner Vishal Film Factory. Veteran actor Raj Kiran is also being retained from the original. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music Click the Movie button below for more info:
