Sandakozhi starring Vishal and Meera Jasmine was released in 2005 and the film was directed by Lingusamy. The success of the film had made director Lingusamy to announce some time back that he would be doing its sequel soon with Vishal as the lead.
But it looks like the project is dropped with Vishal announcing the same in his Twitter handle. The tall, dark and handsome actor tweeted, “sad 2 c certain filmmakers lackin commitmnt twds projects.guess actors shd stick 2 actin n Dir s 2 directing. sandaikozhi 2 cancelled.GB”.
Uttama Villain was produced by Lingusamy and the film gave him the biggest loss from which the producer/director is yet to recover. This could be the cause of this project getting shelved, say sources. On the other hand, Vishal is almost done with his Muthaiah directorial Marudhu and the film will soon be released.
