Samantha to play the role of a journalist in Savitri biopic

Veteran actress Savitri’s life is going to be made into a biopic that will have Keerthy Suresh essaying the actress on screen directed by Nag Ashwin. This film is a bilingual being made in Tamil as Nadigayar Thilagam and Mahanati in Telugu.

Samantha is also in the film and earlier there were talks that she is playing the role of actress Jamuna who used to be an arch rival of Savitri during her times.

But now, sources reveal that Samantha will be essaying the role of a journalist and through her perspective the film is expected to travel. Samantha’s character would be based on someone from the 80s.
