Samantha out and Amala Paul may come in Vada Chennai

Vada Chennai under National Award winning director Vetri Maaran went on floors recently. The film is funded by Dhanush’s Wunderbar films too and features the actor in the lead. Samuthirakani dons a pivotal role in the film. The film is supposed to be a trilogy of sorts of gangster culture in north Madras.

Samantha was roped in as the heroine but now she has withdrawn from the project. The reasons said are diverse. One theory states that since the film is a trilogy, it required a long call sheet from her which she could not manage. Second reason is that she will soon get married and that she may not take up projects.

On the other hand, Amal Paul is also in talks for this film as she has worked with Dhanush in his Velai Illa Pattadhari and also Amma Kanakku which was produced by his Wunderbar Films. The team is expected to come out soon with official announcements. Click the Movie button below for more info:
