Even as news has been floating about Vijay and AR Murugadoss film, it seems one thing is for sure with the film. Samantha has been roped into to play the heroine.
According to reports, Samantha is happy with the offer and has immediately accepted to be part of the film. It is also said that Anirudh will be doing the music for this big budget flick. Though this news is making waves, none from the team members have come forward to deny. But when the project’s name was announced as Athiradi, Murugadoss was prompt enough to come out and clarified that it is wrong.
Meanwhile Vijay is busy with his new film Jilla being directed by Nesan and Murugadoss is busy with the Hindi remake of Thuppakki called Pistol with Akshay Kumar in the lead. Both these films are scheduled for January 2014 release. Once they are through with these assignments, they will start working on the new project.
