Ryan Reynolds takes to social media to announce the end of filming for 'Deadpool'

Ryan Reynolds, who plays the title role in "Deadpool", says the filming of the upcoming superhero film is over.


Reynolds took to Instagram on Friday to mark the end of the principal photography of the highly-anticipated movie. He also thanked fans for their support.


The 38-year-old posted a photograph of him along with director Tim Miller, and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.


In the caption, he wrote: "Rhett, Paul, Tim and I started putting Deadpool together. And today, we reached the end of the shoot -- but the beginning of something amazing. We got it to the launch pad...


"but the fans put us into orbit. They let us make this film because you made them. You wrote unspeakable things on the Internet. You yelled at all the right people. And suddenly... the light turned green. Thank you. #wrapped.”


The actor also shared on Twitter an image of a wall marked "Deadpool was here". He wrote alongside the photograph: “#Deadpool has been a privilege to make. And we got to make this film because of you. Gonna eat a samich now. #wrapped.”
