Resul Pookutty to foray into acting

Academy Award winning Sound designer Resul Pookutty is all set to foray into acting in a film directed by Prasad Prabhakar. The movie will have Resul Pookutty playing a sound designer who wants to record all the sounds in world famous Thrissur Pooram festival.

Speaking about this, director Prasad Prabhakaran says, “This is a never before attempted concept. Pooram festival in Thrissur is the biggest festival in the Universe, attended by many every year. This festival happens for seven days in total. There are thousands of artists playing hundreds of instruments in the event and the atmosphere will be absolutely electric and totally magical. This movie is titled ‘Oru Kadhai Sollattumaa’.

The music of the film is done by Rahul Raj and the lyrics were penned by Vairamuthu. This movie is made in four languages with Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi being the other three languages. The songs and trailer have been edited by Antony and songs were recorded in AR Rahman’s studio. The audio rights of the movie have been bagged by Sony Music.
