Real acid attack survivors to feature in ‘Chhapaak'

Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar’s next offering ‘Chhapaak’, starring Deepika Padukone, will also feature real acid attack survivors. The film will narrate the story of real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Sheroes and Chhanv Foundation’s four acid attack survivors — Ritu, Bala, Jeetu and Kunti — have starred in the film. Deepika plays acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the film, directed by Meghna Gulzar. Laxmi was thrown acid when she was still in school.

It also stars Vikrant Massey as Padukone’s partner. The film is jointly produced by Meghna and Deepika. The flick is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020. Click the Movie button below for more info:
