Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan to release on April 11
Feb 3, 2014 NRDirected by the Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, Kochadaiiyaan features the unique visual mastery of Photorealistic Performance Capture technology for the very first time in the history of an Indian film. This is same technology that was used in Hollywood’s highest grosser Avatar. “Following last year’s celebrations of India's film making centenary we view the release of Kochadaiiyaan as part of the next steps of Indian cinema. For the first time a full length feature has been made using performance capture technology in India and I truly hope this creates a whole alternate film making avenue apart from live action films in our country,” says the director in an official statement.
What’s exciting for the fans is that the film will have the megastar in a double role – enacting an epic dramatization of good versus evil. The leading lady in the film is Deepika Padukone who is on a dream run at the box office. This will be her first film of 2014. Other actors who will be seen in the film are R. Sharath Kumar, Nazar, Aadi, Shobana and Rukmini. The music of the film is provided by A R Rahman.
Notably, the film will have the biggest release any Indian film has ever seen with over 6000 screens across the world. The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Punjabi and English.
It may be added that Amitabh Bachchan's Bhoothnath Returns is scheduled to release on the same day. Click the Movie button below for more info:
