Yung Mung Sung is an upcoming film being directed by MS Arjun, featuring Prabhu Deva, RJ Balaji, Lakshmi Menon and others. The title is an acronym of Yenganarayan played by (Prabhu Deva) Mangalam (RJ Balaji) and Shankar (Ashwin). It is a period film set in 1987 and on the lines of several martial arts films starring Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan’s and Jet Lee’s with lots of local flavor and loads of comedy


Prabhu Deva will be seen as a stunt master in the film where he romances Lakshmi Menon. Talking about the film, Prabhu Deva says, “The story is about how the trio goes to China, especially to learn the Shaolin form of Kung Fu, so that back home, they can take revenge on their enemies. There’s a suspense element to it.”


Lakshmi Menon plays Yamuna, a Bharatanatyam dancer. Thangar Bachchan essays the comical role of Prabhu Deva’s dad. Baahubali fame Prabhakar has been roped in as the villain for the flick. The unit will be traveling to China in the coming months where Prabhu Deva and others will take training from real masters in Kung Fu, and also can a few scenes at some exotic locales.
