Plagiarism case against Nayanthara starrer Aramm

Nayanthara starrer and the debutant Gopi Nainar directorial Aramm has been receiving positive response all the way. However, a blot appears to have been cast on the film now.


A civil suit has been filed in the Madras High Court by Vishnu Movie Makers of Mysore, to restrain production house KJR studios, director Gopi Nainar and actress Nayanthara from exhibiting Tamil film "Aramm" in addition to seeking Rs 2 crore compensation.


Vishnu Movie Makers have claimed that they had produced a Kannada film titled "ParIvara" in 2013 and obtained the censor certificate in December the same year. But the film could not be released due to financial problems. The makers had then arranged a preview show for distributors and friends, which was attended by Gopi Nainar also. They also alleged that Nainar copied the Kannada version of the film without obtaining any rights or permission. The plaintiff said the film has also been released in Karnataka, and hence present civil suit was filed to restrain the trio from exhibiting the film. Click the Movie button below for more info:
